Ummah Connect is a Muslim only social media dApp(Decentralized Application) built on Web3, to share halal content, resist censorship, and reward creators with Halal money.
If you are :
Examples:
When an event like Hack for Gaza was announced, it did not reach many Muslims because of the current social media algorithms.
In Ummah connect you can reach almost all of your target audience.
Such events will be given priority and its reach will be viral as it solves a critical emergency Ummah problem.
This will never happen in any of the current social media.

Israel and wealthy Zionists all around the world pressure Big tech to immediately censor and take down content that shows the truth of Palestine and exposes Zionist propaganda.
Since all the social media platforms are centralized they obey and take down else they will face the consequences from their Zionist masters.
Not just about Palestine any information that does not align with their Dajjalic agenda gets removed and content creators are punished with bans and demonetisation.
Elon Musk wanted to change this but he too had to surrender and obey to Zionist masters because the underlying tech web 2.0 itself is built in such a way.
A solution to this is to build a social media on a decentralised and distributed tech like Web3 that does not allow content to be taken down by any one centralised entity.

Itโs important to understand how Web3 technology works, for you to understand how it can prevent censorship.
Learn about Web3 here โ Ummah Startups Wiki (Knowledge Base)
I will give an example:: Recently, Israel pressurized Elon Musk to suspend those who say โfrom the river to the seaโ and he had to obey else twitter will be blocked in Israel and other western countries. Thatโs a loss of business for Elon and so he takes the decision to do how they order.
Here since Elon is a central figure who has complete control of Twitter, just pressuring him gets the job done for Israel.
In Web3, there is not a single point of control. Even though Ummah Connect is founded by me, I would not have complete control of Ummah Connect.
I being the founder or CEO cannot take the decision single-handedly. For a decision to happen, it has to be approved by a majority of the participants in the network.
For a content to stay on the social media app or to be removed it will be judged by voting in the app.
If 60% (majority) of the participants vote that the content should not be taken down, the content will never be censored and the vice versa.
These participants will not be a few but in thousands.
The participants who have the voting power will not be common man, but Scholars and other important influencers.
In this example, majority of the participants who have the right to vote will be journalists, Doctors, scholars and other important influencers like Motaz Azaiza from Palestine since they are the ones who know the content is true or fake.
The governance in Ummah Connect is not by me (owner) but a lot of more other participants combined. This type of governance is called DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization).
In this example, letโs see what happens if Israel orders me (the owner) to take down Palestinian content as it did with Elon.
If I am living in a country which is an ally of Israel like USA and the US gov sends me an order to take down content else I will be arrested.
The max I can do here is vote for the content to be taken down. But the content still stays in Ummah connect because it needs a majority of the votes from participants all around the world to be taken down.
Similarly there are scholars in the Arab world who are not able to speak out and get arrested by the rulers. With the same example, lets say Israel orders KSA to block all content in Ummah connect related to Palestine.
KSA can never do that because Ummah connect does not run on web 2.0 but in web3 which is a separate network that runs on peopleโs computer outside of the traditional web 2.0 (central servers).
So the next thing KSA might do will be to ask the participants who are part of Ummah connect to take down the content. In this example, lets assume Assim al hakeem who lives in KSA is a participant in our network and has voting powers.
Now Assim al hakeem can obey the ruler (what other option does he have really!๐) and vote for the content to be taken down. [Zoom into the image above]
And just like him other scholars in KSA also vote to take the content down. Lets say we have 40 votes from that region that is asking for Palestinian content to be taken down and 2000 votes from the rest of the participants around the world for the content to stay.
Now what will happen is, the algorithm(Smart Contracts) will not be able to censor as only 2% have voted to take down while 98% wants the content to stay.
